Windsor, ON
As a leading provider of innovative technology, DuroByte contributed to a Neuroscience project at the University of Windsor by re-designing switches in order to capture accurate data from experiments.
During the Neuroscience research project, rats were not able to press the switch in a circuit board and DuroByte designed a different circuit board with different techniques using light beams to track rats activity. DuroByte designed a separate circuit for each hole as well as a holder to capture rats activity. This made the system more robust to have meaningful data from the experiment.
This project involved mechanical engineering of the actual holders, re-designing circuits as well as testing and validating. It involved six different engineers at different phases of the project. This project supported a group of researchers working on Parkinson diseases and Alzheimer.
